  1. Open PixnPDF in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Click the install icon in the address bar, or Install app here when available.
  3. Confirm Install. Open PixnPDF from your apps or taskbar.

Safari · macOS Sonoma or later

  1. Open PixnPDF in Safari 17 or later.
  2. Choose File → Add to Dock.
  3. Keep the name PixnPDF and click Add.

iPhone & iPad · Safari

  1. Open PixnPDF in Safari.
  2. Tap Share → Add to Home Screen.
  3. Keep Open as Web App enabled if shown, then tap Add.

Android · Chrome

  1. Open PixnPDF in Chrome.
  2. Open the browser menu → Install app (or Add to Home screen).
  3. Confirm Install, then open PixnPDF from your home screen.

Firefox desktop

  1. On supported Windows versions, use Firefox’s Add to taskbar control to open the site as a web app.
  2. On Mac, keep using PixnPDF in Firefox or open it in Chrome, Edge or Safari to install. Linux availability varies by Firefox version.
  3. PixnPDF’s in-page install button is available in supported Chrome and Edge browsers.

Saved browser tools work offline. OCR also needs its engine and selected language packs, downloaded from an OCR tool before going offline. Server tools need an internet connection and ask before uploading. Uploaded files are deleted within 1 hour.

The OCR engine and selected language packs download separately from an OCR tool, with sizes shown first. Your files are never saved in this cache.
