A few things to know
Does scanning upload my photos or require an account?
No. Camera capture, photo correction and PDF export run in browser workers, free and unlimited, without uploads, Turnstile or daily limits. Up to 20 photos per scan, 50 MB each and 200 MB total; memory guards may require smaller photos.
Do I have to use the camera?
No. Add JPG, PNG or WebP photos instead. Camera access needs HTTPS and your permission. Tracks stop on Stop camera, Cancel, export or leaving the workspace.
Will the scan have selectable text?
Scanning exports page images. Continue with the free browser OCR tool for printed searchable text. Review crop, perspective and automatic deskew; use manual corner and angle controls when the estimate is wrong.
Can I use Scan to PDF now?
Scan to PDF is available now, free and without signup. Processing happens entirely on your device.
Where will Scan to PDF process my files?
Files are read, processed and rendered in browser Web Workers. Nothing is uploaded. Cancel stops the worker immediately; originals remain unchanged.
