A few things to know
Does this send my document to Anthropic?
Only after explicit consent. Your selected page text or scan images, question and chat history go through our backend to Anthropic. Haiku is the default. Each task or chat question uses one of 3 heavy-tool free tries per day (1 file, 20 MB, 30 selected pages). When enabled, verified accounts can buy credits after the shared free trial. AI remains paused until the operator enables it; payments are test-only in Phase 8.
How accurate are the results?
AI can omit, mistranslate or invent information. Review the result and citations against the original before exporting. Translation creates a readable new layout; bilingual output places the original before its translation. Scans need free browser OCR first, or AI handwriting/table OCR with separate consent.
Can I use Translate PDF now?
Translate PDF includes a small anonymous free trial: 3 server jobs per day, shared within this group of server tools. This tool asks before secure server processing.
Where will Translate PDF process my files?
After your explicit consent, selected text or scans pass through our private backend and Anthropic. Inputs are deleted after processing; outputs expire within 1 hour or with Delete now. Anthropic retention is governed separately by its API terms. Cost and token metadata contain no document text.
Will Translate PDF be free?
The anonymous trial includes 3 server jobs per day per IP/device, 1 file(s) per job, up to 20 MB each and 30 pages per job. The allowance is shared within this server-tool group. Browser tools have unlimited free use. Optional Free-account and Premium limits require verified sign-in and a paid active plan. Availability depends on flags; Phase 8 payments are test-only.
